Pressurising the SPMs to issue ATM Cards

It has
been came to the notice of this union, that
All the SPMs are facing much difficulty in accepting of demonitized
currency and heavy croud in almost of all the post offices in the division.
Even without Fake currency detector cum counting machines they are already over
burdened, Divisional Office is pressurising over phone to all the SPMs to
exhaust all the ATM cards within two days
otherwise a disciplinary action will be iniated against the officials
those who are not do that job. Now the depositors are hasitate to take the ATM
cards because Machines are not available in the Post offices and the Banks ATMS machines are also not
accepting the Post Office ATM cards. Only two ATM machines are available in the
entire division i.e., Chittoor HO and Madanapalle HO. ATM of Palamaner MDG is
not functioning for last 5 months till date DO staff are harasing the SPMs
to give information about the issue of
ATMs on hourly basis and distrurbing the work when ever attending in the counters. In these circumstances, it is not possible to
issue ATM cards to all the depostors. Hence it is requested not to give
pressure to the SPMs, so as to smooth functioning of the Post offices.
