Sub: Request for Sankranthi holiday,
I am to submit the following for your kind consideration and to take appropriate action.. Circle Coordination committee of Central Government Employees AP and Telangana Circles under the Chairman ship of Chief Commissioner Income Tax has notified 14th January 2018 as holiday for Sankranthi festival. The Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State Governments have declared Sankranthi on,15th January 2018 as holiday.
From the above it is clear that the festival is on 15th January. In view of the above we are requested kindly alter holiday from 14th to 15thJanuary 2018 for Postal Staff in the Circle .This will enable the staff to remain with their families and celebrate the festival.
We request you to take up the issue with Co ordination Committee of Central Govt organizations to declare the Sankranthi holiday on 15th January 2018.necessary orders.
